Researchers’ Night 2026!

*The event will be held only in Latvian!

Jānis Streičs was not only an outstanding film director but also a passionate film scholar. He wrote about cinema, followed the work of other directors, took a deep interest in film theory, and was also an honorary member of the Latvian Academy of Sciences (LZA).

On Researchers’ Night, we invite you to participate in the Latvian Film Museum’s quiz, where we’ll watch excerpts from Jānis Streičs’ films together and decipher his cinematic symbols!

Kaspars Gulbis will provide the music!

The Jānis Streičs quiz will take place on Friday, September 25, at 5:30 p.m. at the Latvian Film Museum, 58a Miera Street. Everyone is welcome—admission is free!
